Unknown gunmen have abducted the chairman of the Okene branch of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Musa Adelabu.
This was made known over the weekend by the Kogi State chairman of the party, Sam Uhuotu.
According to him, the gunmen dressed in military uniform invaded his residence around 1am on Saturday and whisked him away.
Adding that the whereabouts of Adelabu was still unknown with no contacts.
Speaking with Punch, the state Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya, said the police were not aware of the abduction.
“It is only when we get such a report that we will treat it as an issue, but for now, it’s not an issue.”
