Two of Africa’s richest businessmen, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and Mr Femi Otedola, have promised the Super Eagles $75,000 per goal they score in their remaining matches in the ongoing African Nations Cup.
The team defeated the Bafana Bafana of South Africa by two goals to one in the quarter-final stage and will confront Algeria on Sunday in the semi-final.
Alhaji Dangote pledged $50,000 for every goal in their remaining two matches and Otedola promised $25,000.
Reports stated that the two business moguls spoke on phone during the visit of the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFA, Mr Amaju Pinnick, to the team at their hotel in Cairo, Egypt.
Also, President Muhammadu Buhari who reacted to the Wednesday night’s victory in a statement on Twitter said the Super Eagles “represent the resilient and indomitable Nigerian spirit.”
