Member, representing Ibarapa East constituency, 32-year-old Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin, has emerged Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The young honourable, a second term lawmaker on Monday emerged as the Speaker shortly after Governor Seyi Makinde inaugurated the Assembly.
Ogundoyin was declared Speaker by clerk of the Assembly, Ms Felicia Oyediran after his unopposed nomination by Honourable Adebayo Babajide (Ibadan North II constituency) and seconded by Honourable Adeola Bamidele (Iseyin/Itesiwaju constituency).
Also, Honourable Mohammed Fadeyi of Ona Ara constituency emerged unopposed as deputy Speaker of the Assembly.
Ogundoyin, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and an alumnus of Babcock University emerged unopposed with a unanimous voice vote of the 32 members Assembly.
