Tiwa Savage Signs International Deal With Universal Music, Exits Mavins (Photos)


One of the biggest African female acts, Tiwa Savage has signed an exclusive global recording agreement with Universal Music Group (UMG).

Under the exclusive global deal, Tiwa’s music will be released internationally through UMG’s operations in more than 60 countries all over the world.

Also, the Mavin first lady is no longer with the record label owned by Don Jazzy after signing the new deal with the American music company joining the likes of Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga.

Confirming the news that has been trending on the social media, Don Jazzy In his emotional message thanked Mama Jam Jam for an amazing seven years with the label.

His post: Our darling Tiwatope. We at Mavin would like to say a very big thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us, a friend, a sister.

It’s been an epic journey with you and we are very proud of what we have achieved together. As you start this new chapter in your life we want you to know that we are solidly behind you and can’t wait for the world to see what we have always believed you can be.

Your jersey as the first lady of Mavin will forever be yours as we do not intend to fill that position with anyone else. We love you from the bottom of our hearts and pray God’s blessings continue to follow you.

Global Mama J also deleted all her old Instagram posts and shared new photos to mark the beginning of her international deal with the caption:
