Samuel Ortom has been reelected Governor of Benue State after winning the state governorship supplementary election, which held on Saturday.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Ortom winner on Sunday.
According to Sebastian Maimako, the returning officer in the state, Ortom polled 434,473 votes to defeat Emmanuel Jime, his closest rival who recorded 345,155 votes.
The margin of victory was 89,318.
Ortom contested the election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), while Jime contested under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
