EFCC Nabs Suspected Yahoo Boys In Ibadan, Recovers Exotic Cars (Photos)


Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan Zonal Office, have arrested six suspected yahoo boys.

EFCC stated that the officers on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 swooped on a location suspected to be a hideout of internet fraudsters following series of intelligence from residents of the area on their alleged fraudulent activities.

Tella Adefemi Ibrahim, Awoniyi Adeseye Abiodun, Oladele Olawale Wasiu, Olabiti Afeez Ajibola, Akeredolu Oluwafemi Temidayo and Oyaremi Olalekan Olabode were all arrested during the early morning raid on apartments within the Kolapo Ishola Estate, in Akobo area.

The commission noted that the suspects are between the ages of 24 and 30 years, adding that a series of intelligence gathered on them suggested that they are deeply involved in all manners of fraudulent activities, including love scam, through which they illegally obtain money from unsuspecting victims.

Five models of exotic cars, laptops, mobile phones and several documents containing false pretences were reportedly recovered from the suspects.

The commission said that they will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.
